Based on their drive method, CNC tube benders can be categorized as electric and electro-hydraulic. Based on their degree of automation, they can be further divided into semi-automatic and fully automatic CNC tube benders. Compared to fully automatic CNC tube benders, semi-automatic CNC tube benders typically lack servo motors for the transport and adjustment axes. The rotation and angle of the tube blank are achieved through mechanical and pneumatic systems. The bending speed is controlled by multiple solenoid valves regulating the hydraulic cylinder output flow, thus reducing machine tool costs.

With the continuous advancement of computer and automatic control technology, CNC systems for CNC machine tools primarily include single-chip microcomputers, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and industrial PC-controlled CNC systems. Due to their limited system openness and simple human-machine interface functionality, they are typically used for simple flat bending and forming, making them simple and economical CNC tube benders.
